Choose a two-player game together
Decide whether you want shared-screen play, a remote session, cooperation or a light competition before picking a game.
Begin by deciding what kind of time you want to spend together. A cooperative challenge, a quiet creative activity and a competitive round offer different experiences even when they all run in a browser.
Choose the play mode first
Check whether you are sharing a screen or using separate devices. Use the mode supported by the particular game. For remote play, follow that game's room or invitation controls and check that both people can enter before starting.
Agree on a small commitment
Pick a short round when either person is new to the controls. Explain movement and the main action, and make it easy to restart or change games if the first choice is uncomfortable.
Prefer a shared experience to a score
After a round, ask whether to repeat it, try another mode or switch to something more relaxed. In the games forum, suggest a title with the play mode and the reason it worked for your pair; that context is more useful than a universal recommendation.
